Diedrick doesn't have a good relationship with his father, although he tries not to show it. It started out with the divorce of his parents. His mother, Renee Issac was a waitress at a nightclub while his father, Noah Jefferson Hayner, was a high ranked lawyer.

Diedrick knew that his mother was cheating on his father and when Renee found out he knew, she begged him not to tell his father. Noah still to this day doesn't know that Diedrick knew about the cheating. It was one day when Renee came home crying in the middle of the day. She didn't notice that Noah was home, so when he started asking questions about her mood, she finally spilled everything. Renee was cheating on him with another man and she had just gone to the doctor to find out she had gotten HIV, turned to AIDS from this man.

Noah was furious with Renee for the cheating and he kicked her out of the house. It wasn't long when she was put in the hospital because she was getting worse. From the stress of the divorce and the situation his mother was in, he began to gain more and more rebelious actions.

His mother died when he was 15 years old of AIDS and his dislike toward his father had grown. One day, Diedrick just decided to not care about his family anymore and his father didn't bother him from then on. When he found out that his father was going to be married in a couple of months, he gave up on his Noah completely.

To stay away from all of his family break up, he played basketball and that became his stress reliever. He often spent his nights out in a vacant broken down basketball court not far from his house. The neighborhood only had bad experiences every once in a while with gangs or pranksters. His father doesn't come home much after Diedrick and Noah stopped talking, so the house is mostly left for Diedrick. Noah didn't put a lot of thought into the living space.

Artemis smiled kindly at his pause after her response. It was probably a reaction he didn't get often and she felt happy that he could experience something that wasn't a negative response. Still, he showed a frown and a glare towards her and she had to admit that she was quite disappointed that he still hadn't showed any signs of happiness. It was always comforting when you make someone else smile, especially people that you bump into. She really did need to work on her skills, the clumbsiness from today all the proof needed.

She noticed his frown deepen at her hand and she thought that he wasn't going to move at all. When she saw his hand stretch out she felt accomplished. It was rigid and stiff, but she expected that was a big step anyhow. Arlen? I've definately heard of this man before. Some of the people are scared of him because of his attitude and his actions. It's hard to believe this is the person that people were worried about. He hadn't shown any real sign of danger, if he had, Apollymis would've warned me. Artemis didn't have to look down very far to see the magestic orange tiger standing next to Arlen. Koro really was huge and was slightly intimidating with his size.

Artemis, there's been a boy watching your conversation. I think this Arlen man and his vedo have spotted him as well. She saw Arlen's eye's glance away and she followed it to see Koro walk slowly toward boy, about her age but a little older. Beside him was a beautiful gray wolf, in a slightly tense position. Since the boy and his vedo was out of ears reach, she could only see the tiger's mouth move slightly.

I'm going to check it out. Artemis looked up quickly to see her vedo dive down toward the roof of a stand that was right next to the mystery person. Apollymis, don't draw attention. It seems like this person doesn't want to be publicly noticed. During her interaction with Arlen, she'd been browsing the crowd any chance she could get, just to keep a good eye on the people, out of habit. She'd peeked to see the boy looking at an apple with his vedo and that was all she'd noticed. She didn't suspect the stranger was extemely dangerous, however, she although she was friendly, she was cautious.

Curiousity killed the cat, but I'm taking the chance. By muscle memory, she automatically reacted to her thoughts and put her hand gentle on the side of Arlen's right arm for a few seconds and said, "Excuse me for a moment." She then made her way toward the point of interest. Apollymis spread her wings in response to Artemis' action and dipped her beak down with her claws clenched.
